As Israel and the US bomb Iran, imperial hypocrisy is on full display — a “greatest hits” rerun from the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The world should fear the US and Israel first and foremost, a genocidal nuclear-armed apartheid state and its imperial patron. We must not stop at Trump and Netanyahu, but oppose the whole capitalist system that drives international conflict.
The war in Ukraine raises fundamental questions that revolutionary socialists must debate. Marxists today would like to see Ukraine defeat Russia and win its independence. However, we cannot support U.S. imperialist intervention in this conflict. We must first oppose “our own” imperialist power.
